From the Depths of My Vocabulary I present--a word I have never used in conversation, nor previously in writing--yet there it was, lodged in my brain:

Foist v. 1. To introduce or insert surreptitiously or without warrant. 2. To force another to accept especially by stealth or deceit. 3. To pass off as genuine or worthy.
